The members of the Adelaide Spine Clinic are Spinal Surgeons with extensive experience and advanced training in the management of both Adult and Paediatric Spinal conditions. The clinic was formed in 1996 and all members are actively involved in research and teaching.
Members of Adelaide Spine Clinic are also involved in supervision of the Neuro-Orthopaedic Spinal Fellowship based at The Royal Adelaide Hospital, Women’s and Children’s Hospital and St Andrew’s Private Hospital. The Adelaide Spine Clinic also hosts short term fellows via the AO Spine Fellowship program.
Surgeons at the Adelaide Spine Clinic have not used Infuse
as a bone graft substitute in routine Spinal Fusion
operations. Occasionally the use of Infuse may be considered
in highly complex procedures where previous surgery has
failed. The use of this product in routine Spinal Fusion
operations has recently been questioned and independent
scientific review of data has shown no advantage over bone
grafts taken from patients....
