The Adelaide Spine Clinic was formed in 1996 and strives to deliver excellence in the assessment and management of spinal conditions.

The members of the Clinic are actively involved in the development and evaluation of existing and new methods of treatment of spinal disorders.

Professor Fraser has earned an international reputation for clinical and laboratory research, and has been awarded the Volvo prize for Basic Science on two occasions.

Drs Hall and Cain were both encouraged and supported in their pursuit of a career in spinal surgery by Professor Fraser and bring to the clinic extensive international experience in the management of spinal deformity, tumours and major reconstructive surgery.

Dr Fagan is the most recent member to join.  He brings experience with endoscopic surgery of the spine to the clinic and an interest in minimally invasive solutions for spinal disorders.

Dr Potter has ceased operative spinal surgery but continues to share his expertise and experience through a consultative medical practice.

The Adelaide Spine Clinic, in association with the Spinal Unit and Department of Neurosurgery of the Royal Adelaide Hospital, supports two Clinical / Research Neuro-Orthopaedic spinal fellowships.  Appointments are for 12 months and extensive clinical, operative and research exposure is obtained during this period.

The Clinic has been recognized by AO International as an international training center for spinal surgery.  The first outside the USA and Europe.  Short-term, unfunded, fellowships are also available.
